Extreme Hunting Videos:

I always look forward to seeing hunting videos.  This is a great way to see hunting in different parts of the world.  I have two videos to review that are from two extreme parts of the world. 

The first video that I will review is presented by Bushman Brooks.  The title is “The Border Range”.  I did a review of the last video made by this Aussie hunter. Click this to see the last review.  This video is broken into two parts. There is a part about hunting and there is also a part about survival skills and four wheeling part.

Like the first video this was very well done.  Brooks is hunting Feral Brahman Bulls to help local land owners.  What I really liked about this video is that it shows not only him killing the bulls but the troubles that he had doing it.  Brooks spent two weeks hunting the same bulls and he tried many archery tactics to kill them.   He stayed committed to the archery hunt until the last day.  Then he turned to hunting with a gun.

There is also an archery hunt for goats.  The second part of the video is about bush tucker, bushcraft, bush remedies, survival tips, and 4 wheeling.  I enjoyed the video as a whole and would suggest it to anyone.  I would like to see hunting of native animals in the next video.  The reason that I want to see videos of other countries is because I want to see hunters hunt animals that I will not be able to hunt. The second video that is being reviewed is the Rack Man in the Yukon 6.  This is a Canadian moose hunting video.  Real Langlois is the hunting guide in the video.  You can read about Real’s record breaking Pope and Young moose by clicking here.  The video shows Real’s clients hunting in the Yukon with bow and rifles. 

Real is a French Canadian which means that much of the video is done in French. The video has an English speaking section that is very well done.  Americans will find the videos very slow.  This is not a video that shows one kill after another.   The video show Real being introduced to each hunter before the hunt. Some parts of the video I found painfully slow.  While the video may be slow in some parts, I think there is a benefit in seeing Real’s skills and tactics while hunting for moose.  If you would like to see real life moose hunting, you will enjoy it.  I found it very informational but slow. If you want to buy one of Real’s or Brook’s videos click on the link.  I would recommend either of the videos for any hunter.   Both videos show all aspects of the hunt.  Any hunter can learn something from watching these videos.
